Product Description

Bromhexine hydrochloride is a kind of phlegm dissolving agent, which can directly act on the bronchial glands, promote the release of lysosomes of mucus secreting cells, make the glycosaminoglycan fiber in the sputum differentiate and split, make the sputum dilute and easy to cough up. Clinically, it is mainly used for acute and chronic bronchitis, asthma  , bronchiectasis, emphysema, especially for patients with difficulty in coughing up white mucus and critical emergencies caused by widespread obstruction of small bronchi with sputum. There are various formulations of bromhexine hydrochloride, including oral tablets, solutions, aerosols, injections, freeze-dried powder injections, and large infusion fluids.


This product is a new type of mucus soluble expectorant synthesized based on the structure of the active ingredient (vanillin) proposed in the medicinal plant Duckbill Flower, which has a strong effect on dissolving mucus. It can make the glycosaminoglycan fiber in the sputum differentiate and split, and also inhibit the synthesis of glycosaminoglycan, so that the content of sialic acid (one of the acid glycosaminoglycan components) in the sputum is reduced, thus reducing the viscosity of the sputum. After oral administration, it still has a nausea expectorant effect, making the sputum easy to be coughed up by the  , and making the respiratory tract smooth. Clinically, it is used for the treatment of acute and chronic bronchitis, asthma, bronchiectasis, and emphysema, especially for those with difficulty in coughing up white mucus, as well as for patients with shortness of breath caused by widespread obstruction of small bronchi with phlegm. Adverse reactions: Occasional nausea and stomach discomfort may occur after taking this product, which can disappear after reducing or stopping the medication. The serum transaminase of a few patients was temporarily elevated. Patients with gastric ulcers should use it with caution. The toxicity of this product is very low.
