Function

 

Telamycin is a third generation macrolide antibiotic, which has two isomers, namely 13-membered azalactone ring and 15-membered azalactone ring, which are composed of a stable mixture in a ratio of 1:9, and can be converted into each other. Telamycin has three alkaline amino groups, different from azalide, ketone and other macrocyclic lipids, because its chemical structure contains three alkaline amino groups, the molecule has a high positive charge and is strongly electronegative in solution.
